District 42 All-Stars take Little League season down to the wire

It takes talent, execution and, as any baseball coach will tell you, a little luck along the way to achieve greatness. All three aspects of the game were put to the test this past week as the three remaining District 42 all-star teams took the field in search of Southern California-South Sub-Division III championships.

Sweetwater Valley Little League played the short end of the Section 7 championship tournament schedule by collecting run-rule victories in each of its three contests, including Monday’s 15-5 championship game victory against District 41 champion Rancho San Diego at the District 66/Spring Valley Little League complex.

Chula Vista American 10U All-Stars make trek to SoCal sub-division tournament

While the 10U Division in Little League Baseball does not have a national championship tournament, it does award titles at the state level. In California, teams play for regional championships.
