The rate of inflation has been high for months. This worries lots of people including the Chairman of the Federal Reserve Jerome Powell. Powell has raised interest rates several times to curb the rate of inflation. It will work sooner or later. Mortgage rates, and payments on credit card bills also go up when the Federal Reserve act. There are the highest levels of debt ever recorded along with the lowest level of savings. Entitlement programs are under funded by trillions of dollars.
President Biden struggles to solve numerous problems. Republicans find fault with much of what he does. The check and balances in government seem unbalanced. Little is resolved with continued political polarization, and cooperation between the two main parties minimal. Democrats yearn for small gains from the midterm elections in the Senate, and in the House of Representatives. Some Republicans including supporters of Trump would like Democrats to vanish.Problems and costs grow with the passage of time. How and when will the tangled web of challenges confronting us ever be surmounted?
