The San Diego Section held its competitive cheerleading competition Dec. 4 at Montgomery High School.

The awards list included advanced, intermediate, novice, coed and non-tumbling categories.

Eastlake High School captured the Large Schools Division II Intermediate championship. Sweetwater High School captured top honors in this year’s Coed non-tumbling field while Montgomery High School won the Small non-tumbling category.

Red Devil pride

Sweetwater High School’s sideline cheer squad had plenty to entertain fans with during the Red Devils’ undefeated 6-0 South Bay League season.

The team’s competitive cheer squad had plenty to cheer for itself after winning the coed non-tumbling category at the Dec. 4 San Diego Section championship meet.
