All Navy and Marine Corps personnel are invited to “have a ball” with Scuttlebutt Det. #886 on Nov. 10 when they celebrate the 237th birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps at the Chula Vista Elks Lodge, 901 Elks Lane in Chula Vista.
There is plenty of free parking available.
The event features a choice of five entrees including appetizers and salad plus a traditional Marine Corps birthday cake. Music will be provided by a mariachi trio.
Tickets are $40 per person (donation) and are on sale now. Proceeds are used to buy holiday baskets for needy families at MCRD San Diego and the annual Barrio Youth Center toy drive.
