So many public servants are constantly vilified that one wonders if they're all just plain bad across the board. It's a breath of fresh air to hear about Lt. Kennedy's heroic efforts for Project Compassion. Thanks for the reminder that the few bad apples make the news and the majority, the good ones, usually don't. Well done!

I want to thank the Star News for exploring the positions of the candidates.
1. Killing Human beings, unborn or about to be born, is not acceptable.
2. Ours is a Christian country despite the oratory of Obama.
3. Lincoln will fight and vote for your right to keep and bear arms; CCW's.
4. Low reasonable tax rates increase prosperity.
5. Too many regulations and too much interference by government destroys jobs and job creation.
6. Our culture and laws have created more wealth, health and happiness in some 250 years than all previous cultures did in 5 thousand years. Say "No" to changing our culture.

Way to show what you are capable of, girls!

Congratulations continued success!

Looks like Ed Brand and Bill MacLaughlin were wrong when they were telling everyone Sweetwater teams can't win...and need their own easier CIF section.

I hope each and every member of these teams calls their superintendent and tells him with vehemence how wrong he is!

Just wanted to pass along some news regarding former Eastlake alum Marcus Perry. He has been invited to the Indianapolis Colts rookie camp for a tryout. He graduated from Oregon State where started every game as the longsnapper.

Are the sketches available for the public to view?

Is there an opportunity for public input?

Congratulations to Eastlake Swim Team and Coach Monzon! I hope you get to stay in SD CIF, and are not relegated to Section 11, Ed Brand's pet project for the employment of Bill MacLaughlin.
