Village Street Faire to take over CV’s Third Avenue on Sunday

The Village Street Faire, the largest spring block party in Chula Vista, takes Third Avenue by storm this Sunday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Chula Vista’s original neighborhood, Third Avenue Village.

Brimming with music, food, crafts and community, the third annual Village Street Faire has something unique for everyone. Music lovers will boogie to performances all day at the F Street Stage. Local bands Side Traxx, Midnight Ride, and Mango Bay will get the 20,000 attendees grooving.

Exotic foods from around the world including Japan, South America and France as well as American favorites like barbecue, kettle corn and funnel cakes will entice visitors with big appetites. Get crafty with artisan items ranging from handmade soap to custom portraits, knitted items, wood-work and more.  Community leaders will be present, sharing a bounty of information.

The Faire Fun Zone, located at Third Avenue and E Street, will delight the young and the young at heart. Here, inflatable slides, game booths, a mechanical bull, obstacle course and more will bring out everyone’s inner child. Face painting, giveaways and kid-centric items will also be available throughout the event.

With enhancements continuing throughout the blooming business district, walkable Third Avenue Village provides the inviting event setting where independently-owned boutiques, eateries and services operate every day of the year. Several Third Avenue businesses will also be offering exclusive Village Street Faire specials to patrons.

Bring your friends, family, neighbors and even your leashed pets to the 2015 Village Street Faire for all the thrills this Sunday, April 12. For more details, visit www.thirdavenuevillage.com.
