TAVA debuts Dia de los Muertos celebration

Third Avenue Village Association is launching its inaugural Dia de los Muertos celebration on Friday, Oct. 29, from 5:30- 9:30 p.m. The celebration features two options for guest to enjoy. La Ofrenda, is a ticketed portion including a variety of tastes and samples from local businesses, and special discounts throughout the event. Treats & Sweets is a free, family oriented option where children can wander through participating businesses to collect goodies.

Guest are encouraged to dress up in full Catrin costume or put a modern spine on the traditional look. There will be server photo spots hosted by TAVA, live music by the B-Side Players. Guests are also encouraged to bring a copy of a photo to honor a loved one to place on the community ofrenda table at the corner of Third Avenue and Davidson Street.
