The tooth fairy? How about a cast of groovy ghoulies and other things that go bump in the night?
They’ll all be assembled for this year’s 20th annual Spooktacular Halloween party courtesy of The Super Dentists, San Diego’s largest award-winning pediatric dentistry, parent dentistry and orthodontics practice.
The fall party is scheduled Oct. 26 at the Eastlake location, 2226 Otay Lakes Road, Chula Vista, from noon to 3 p.m.
Last year, 2,000 San Diegans attended the three-hour event.
The spooky fun party will include a dental-themed haunted house, extreme pumpkin carving by San Diego pumpkin-carving artist Monique Hawk, Halloween costume contests for three age groups, face painting, balloon artists, carnival games, a baby-crawling contest, live music and games among other activities.
Jesse Lozano, from STAR 94.1 FM, will serve as a special guest judge for the costume contests.
This year’s event will also include a new dental-themed pumpkin display and “Instagrammable” photo station for selfies.
One in every five children in San Diego is a Super Dentist kid.
The practice takes advantage of the latest in preventive and restorative treatments; they are Invisalign and AccelaDent accelerated orthodontics specialists and accept most insurance, including Medi-Cal, and offer extended weekday hours, some weekend hours and 24/7 service for emergencies.
Locations throughout San Diego County include Kearny Mesa, Carmel Valley, Chula Vista, Eastlake and Oceanside. Escondido is coming soon.
The practice gives back to its communities whenever possible, including an in-classroom dental education program — currently in 500 schools, reaching more than 30,000 kids — hosting free quarterly events and providing complimentary dental care to those in need.
