Chula Vista Champions set to run at Elite Center

The 13th annual Chula Vista Champions 5K Run is open for registration to run, walk, or stroll at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center on Saturday, Sept. 12. The run helps support free after school health and wellness programs for Chula Vista youths and is sponsored by the CVEATC, Friends of Chula Vista Parks and Recreation, the Chula Vista Recreation Department and other sponsors to benefit the Chula Vista Recreation Department programs and services.

Gates open at the CVEATC at 6:30 a.m., located at 2800 Olympic Parkway, with the race beginning at 8 a.m.

After the race, there is a community expo, opportunity drawing, beer garden, DJ, and food vendors including a $5 pancake breakfast to support the Chula Vista Police Activities League, a nonprofit community-based organization that supports less fortunate and at-risk youth.
