I really appreciate your great coverage on the Miesen/Republic Issue. It makes me sick because it only shows how the system is rigged. All of the council members & the mayor should be recalled or impeached. We continue to get are trash rates increased & no one cares, other that Russ Hall & the Star News. This needs to get to the AG & the trash contract should be voided. Republic does this kind of stuff all over the US, but not with such impunity. They usually just pay for play with laundered campaign contributions. GM

"Putting self interest interest above the tax paying publics interest" - becoming far too common an occurrence these days. Yet, we continue to vote them in don't we? SHAME ON US!!!!!!

This is absurd that you guys would write an article like this when the other side hasn't even gotten the chance to state his side. This is extremely one sided and you should be ashamed of yourselves. I guess it doesn't matter anyway since you guys are a dying news company

I attemted to visit this venue, but left becouse there was nowhere to park, unless willing to spend $ 10 for parking. After developing this area, there will be less parking avaiable and less of park for us to use.

What a wonderful defense of the indefensible, saying & doing "Whatever It Takes" (the criminal safety mantra) to justify the disarmament of only law-abiding, mentally-sound, drug/alcohol-free people.

Thanks for this choice rendition of the council meeting. Are you working on a screenplay, because this could play well! (I can only wish we were better represented, but--you are making great lemonade out of the lemons!

Carlos Davalos's editorial regarding the Democratic Convention was way off. This was one of the best organized conventions in recent memory. Credible speaker after speaker from all walks of life from business to politics made a strong case for Hillary Clinton as the next President of the United States. Contrast this with the Republican convention where the best speakers attempting to make an argument were members of the Trump family. Now think about this, if you were applying for a job and they were asking you to provide credible professional references and all you had to vouch for you were your sons, daughter, and wife... do you really think you would get the job? Of course not. This simple reason is why the Democratic Convention accomplished its goal of making a credible argument for Hillary Clinton as the next President of the United States, while the Republican Convention had the drama that Mr. Davalos and perhaps others wanted to see from the former reality showman but with zero credibility.

I too am shocked on Davalos' editorial comments. He left a lot out of the story, so I rate Davolos' unflattering editorial subdued, muted and undertoned.
