Truth to power

I call BS to the NRA. As a life member I think the NRA has a duty to promote gun control legislation to help prevent senseless gun violence. Instead the leadership (not the majority of the members) choose fear mongering divisiveness to promote their own agenda. The original intent of forming the NRA was to help supply recruits to our armed services with shooting skills. Their current un-American attacks on our First Amendment, including vilifying our free press and the victims of horrific gun violence, is ugly, divisive, and not the freedom our armed services have fought and died to preserve. Perhaps the next generation of leadership in the NRA will see that commonsense gun control is as necessary as vehicle or air traffic control for public safety. Freedoms safest place never was and will never be the NRA. Freedoms safest place is always speaking truth to power.
