The MAAC Project was named a 2023 California Nonprofit of the Year by Orange County Assemblymember Laurie Davies.

“It’s an honor to be recognized as a 2023 California Nonprofit of the Year,” said MAAC’s President and CEO Arnulfo Manriquez.

“Many times we may only focus on services, program outcomes and ensuring we can maximize our impacts in the community, but it is recognitions like these that make our staff and volunteers feel proud and appreciated for our work.”

MAAC has several campuses throughout the county, including Chula Vista, that provide a variety of services including child development, housing assistance, leadership development, health and well being services and education.

“MAAC is an outstanding non-profit serving San Diego County and our surrounding communities,” said Assemblymember Laurie Davies. “Whether it is providing resources to families facing challenging circumstances or developing programs to help people get back on their feet, MAAC has shown time and time again they are a positive force for our region. It is an honor to select this amazing organization who helps to lift so many up.”
