Last weekend to catch the fair’s final acts

The 2025 San Diego County Fair enters its final weekend at the Del Mar Fairgrounds with the final days’ events from through Sunday, July 6. Under this year’s “Summer Pet-Tacular” theme, the fair will continue to offer carnival rides, food vendors, exhibits, concerts, family attractions and pet-centered activities.

Monster trucks will perform daily in the Del Mar Arena with shows at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., followed by a nightly Glow Show at 8 p.m. Guests can also take advantage of over 40 $15 value meals each day, and parking updates will be available at www.SDFair.com/traffic or through the San Diego County Fair Insider podcast.
The Toyota Summer Concert Series continues on the Grandstand Stage, and tribute bands will perform nightly on the Chevrolet Paddock Stage. All Grandstand concert tickets include same-day fair admission.

Friday, July 4
Independence Day celebrations include a July 4th Parade and contests throughout the day. The Toyota Summer Concert Series will feature the annual Fireworks Spectacular on the Grandstand, with a sensory-friendly fireworks viewing option available at The Sound.
From 1 to 3:30 p.m., documentary photographer and writer Jim Tomcik leads a workshop titled “Urban Astro: Exploring the Night Sky from the City” in Grandstand East, focusing on amateur stargazing and astrophotography.
Toby, a tribute to Toby Keith, performs on the Paddock Stage Friday night.

Saturday, July 5
Saturday begins with the Pet-Tacular Pooch Fun Run and Walk, presented by Southpaw Vet. The event takes place from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. in Family Funville, allowing registered participants to walk or jog the fairgrounds with their dogs before opening. The event also features contests and a vendor village. Registration is open through July 4 at 11:59 p.m. and includes same-week fair admission for the participant (excluding the dog).
The fair’s first K-Pop Festival runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering dance performances, live music, interactive activities and fashion inspired by Korean pop culture.
Saturday’s musical lineup includes Bluegrass Music Day on the Michelob ULTRA Avenue Stage, reggae artist Ziggy Marley on the Grandstand, and reggae-rock band Long Beach Dub Allstars on the Paddock Stage. A beef cattle show and a training session on fear-free dog behavior are also scheduled.

Sunday, July 6
The fair concludes Sunday with Domingueando en la Feria, a cultural celebration featuring Hispanic entertainment on stages across the grounds.
The last Puppy Yoga session takes place at 10 a.m. in The Sound. Led by Samara Ariel, the class includes 45 minutes of yoga followed by 15 minutes with adoptable puppies. Registration is required, and a portion of proceeds benefits rescue organizations.
Los Tucanes de Tijuana will close out the Toyota Summer Concert Series on the Grandstand Stage. Tribute band Devotional, honoring Depeche Mode, wraps up the Chevrolet Paddock Stage lineup.
