Hair Slayers Studio on Broadway is holding its first annual Free Hair Cuts for Kids for the holidays on Dec. 12. This event is open to children ages 2-15, and appointments can be made by calling or texting (619) 737-6724.
Owner Tanya Alfaro said that while she was in school, she participated at Hope Church’s Free Hair Cuts for Kids with three cosmetologists and three barbers.
“It was church families,” she said. “They also had gifts for them, music, and I was really inspired by how happy the kids were because many of them had never had haircuts done by anyone but their parents.”
Alfaro said then she knew when she owned her own hair salon, it would become an annual tradition for her and her team. She said this is the first, but she will be holding this event every December.
“This is just one way that we can give back for the holidays. We have four stylists, and we are going to do haircuts each half hour,” she said. “We have many spots available, and we are going to have Santa here all day. I want to get as many kids in here as I can.”
Hair Slayers Studio is located at 730 Broadway, #102, Chula Vista.
