Chula Vista is going green on April 27 and 28 with the California Earth Day Jam.

“It’s a green event for families, there’s going to be music, vegan food, information booths and activities,” said Yadi Carrasquillo, public relations manager for Earth Day.

“The event is to educate communities about sustainability in all areas — transportation, health, food — and how we can make the planet better,” said Carrasquillo.

California Earth Day Jam will feature live entertainment, more than 150 exhibitors, educational speakers, free food sampling and beverages, children’s activities, an eco fashion show, cultural arts and dance.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Chula Vista Center mall.
