Different world perspectives

People think about the world in three different ways. They think with their brains, their biceps, or their gonads. Brain think is rational, logical, and often scientific. Thinking with biceps or muscles, involves hormones and emotions. There would be far fewer problems on our planet if human beings always relied on the first way of viewing Earth.

What form of thoughts and attitudes come under the heading of thinking with biceps? There are two activities. They are sports and war. All sports are fairly benign. That is the case even with the ones such are extremely simple such as truck pulling, roller derby, motor cross, and “professional wrestling. It is fairly rare for players in football, soccer, baseball and other sports to die while playing. Wars have substantial military casualties, plus lots of collateral deaths, injuries, and damage to buildings. Countries in the Middle East have been transformed into rubble. No one can live in rubble.

Thinking with gonads is simple. Only love and sex fall under that category. That is almost always positive. However there are major exceptions. There are many examples of men mistaking obsession for love. And spousal abuse, and child abuse are all too common.
Much of what we say and think is partially true. Sweeping generalizations bypass many details-and the devil resides in the details. Still don’t we all know that it is better to make love than war? Wouldn’t civilization be far more civilized with more brain think, less warfare, and more think with gonads which is full of consideration for the other half of a couple, and all the children. The government should reorder priorities to give more to science, health care, and child care. ‘Tis better to be healthy, wealthy, and wise, than die in combat. Live long and prosper.
