Change ups

What will America be like without any normal sports competition? NBA games are being played without fans in the stands. Golf tournaments will not be able to have their fans alongside the course. No one but referees watching the U.S. Open or Wimbledon tennis tournaments. It is almost time for baseball season to begin. the San Diego Padres usually draw crowds of over 40,000 people for their few few home games at Petco Park. All crowded to together. Hustling past each other going to and fro between their seats, and the snack counters, and the restrooms. Baseball players are well known for chewing gum, sunflower seed, and tobacco during games. There also have a tendency to spit during the game on local or national tv. Players slide into bases and have their pants torn, or become stained with mud on a rainy day. Minor injuries in baseball involving blood flowing occasionally in baseball are worse in football. What about hockey? The players often fight with each other. Perhaps coronavirus will spell the end of boxing. What will sports be like without the roar of the crowd at exciting moments? How can games be played without clapping, or cheering? Major changes are taking places. The global pandemic changes almost everything.
