Bonita Valley Softball League captures two California State Games C-regional titles

The Bonita Valley Softball League 12U Bronze Phillips team hit for a coveted trifecta this summer by capturing championships titles at the district, state and regional levels after winning its division at July’s California State Games tournament.

The chapter is closed for the season on the Bonita Valley Girls Softball League’s 12U Bronze Phillips and 10U Bronze Baca teams after both captured C-regional championships at July’s California State Games.

The 10U Bronze team finished on top of the division standings ahead of Pico Fastpitch (silver medal) and San Clemente & Kingsburg Posse (bronze medal).

The 12U Bronze team finished on top of its division standings ahead of La Puente (silver medal) and San Clemente and Fillmore Allstars (bronze medal).

The 12U Bronze Phillips team posted a trifecta during the summer by winning titles at the district, state and regional levels.

The State Games took place July 12-14 at several venues around San Diego County, including Lakeside, Santee, El Cajon and Chula Vista.

Whittier Gold won the gold medal at the 8U level while Fullerton Hills won the silver medal. Santee and Pico Fastpitch shared the bronze medal.

The Bonita Valley 10U Bronze Baca team captured its division title at the 2019 California State Games C-regional softball tournament.
