On July 14, the Asian Business Association San Diego celebrated the grand reopening of its office, with a particular emphasis on the new Sycuan Community Room, marking a noteworthy commitment to support the Asian Pacific Islander community organizations and business development and economic grown within the San Diego region. Named after the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation, The Sycuan Community room symbolizes the deep-rooted collaborative spirit of San Diego’s diverse communities, stated a ABASD spokesperson in a press release.
The office space is available to community partners and small businesses in need of conference and meeting space in the Convoy District.
ABASD President and CEO Jason Paguio said the celebration goes beyond the reopening of its office.
“It signifies the resilience, unity, and growth of our vibrant Asian business community here in San Diego,” he stated. “The Sycuan Community, in particular, stands as a beacon for collaboration, innovation, and community engagement. As we step into the next chapter of our organization’s journey, we continue to honor our enduring mission – to empower our community, members and the San Diego business community at-large.”
“After assisting over 6,700 small businesses virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic by ABASD’s Small Business Development Center, the community room is a continued resource available to the community as businesses continue to navigate the post-pandemic landscape.
ABASD is committed to serving as a steadfast resource for small businesses in these challenging times, providing relevant information, valuable contacts, and strategic business development programs.”
