July 4-July 7

When American rebels gathered in Philadelphia on July 4, 1776 to adopt the Declaration of Independence, they did so in 76° weather. Two hundred forty-seven years later on July 4, a new world record was set when the average global temperature reached 62.62° becoming the hottest day ever recorded on the planet. In Philadelphia it was 84° while in Chula Vista and National City it was 75° and 70° in National City respectively.

Sunday, July 7: Partly sunny, with a high near 79°; a low near 67°
