Three teams from Bonita Valley Amateur Girls Softball Association qualify for national championships

Three teams representing the Bonita Valley Girls Amateur Softball Association – 10U Gold, 12U Gold and 14U Gold — will be out to win national championship titles beginning this week.

•The 12U Gold team will play in the ASA national championship tournament July 26-31 in Kingman, Ariz.

•14U Gold team will play in the ASA national championship tournament July 26-31 in La Habra.

•The 10U Gold team will play in the ASA national championship tournament Aug. 1-8 in Medford, Ore.

Teams qualified for their respective national championship tournaments through the state championship tournament July 8-10 in Lancaster.

The 10U Gold all-star team finished 5-2 at the state tournament. Thirty-six teams competed in the 10U Gold bracket.

The 12U Gold all-star team won its first four games at the state tournament. Thirty-five teams competed in the division.

The 14U Gold all-star team was one of 32 teams competing in its division at the state tournament.
