Girls field hockey Metro Conference all-league honors bestowed

Otay Ranch senior Tarah Trotter and Bonita Vista junior Mailyn Nishiguchi each shared honors as the 2010 Metro Conference girls field hockey Co-Players of the Year. Both earned distinction as members of the all-conference first team.

Bonita Vista captured this year’s league championship with a 7-1 league record, with Otay Ranch and Hilltop sharing second place with 5-3 league records.

The league champion Barons had four players named to the all-league first team and two players each to the all-league second team and all-league honorable mention.

Otay Ranch and Hilltop each had three players named to the all-league first team.
