The wins keep piling up for the Southwestern College football team and so does the passing yardage for sophomore quarterback Brett Nelson.

Nelson (St. Francis/Pasadena) threw for 248 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead the Jaguars to their latest victory — a 34-11 decision over the San Diego Mesa Olympians last Saturday at Olympian High School.

SWC improved to 3-0 in the American Division/Mountain Conference and 5-1 overall.

Nelson threw scoring passes of seven yards to Jordan Jacobs (Coronado) and Vernon Johnson (Brewer/Ft. Worth) as the Jags built a 31-0 lead in the game.

Southwestern is averaging 500.3 total offensive yards per game, including 352.5 passing yards per game. Respect? It has been delivered.
