The San Francisco 49ers got back in the win column last weekend as former Helix High School/Bonita Vista Middle School alum Alex Smith passed for 143 yards in a 34-0 victory against the host New York Jets.
The win raised the 49ers’ record to 3-1 in the early portion of the 2012-13 NFL season.
In four games, Smith has passed for 784 yards and five touchdowns against just one interception.
San Francisco hosts Buffalo in an inter-conference game this Sunday.
