The Southwestern College Jaguars will welcome L.A. Valley to its temporary home field at Olympian High School on Saturday with the mind set of remaining undefeated on the young season after spanking host West Los Angeles, 55-33, last Saturday.
L.A. Valley is coming off a 40-13 non–conference setback to East Los Angeles in its season opener.
SWC’s quarterbacking crew had a huge hand, er … arm, in last week’s win. Sophomore Brett Nelson (St. Francis) threw three touchdown passes while freshman Frank Foster (Valhalla) tacked on a pair of scoring aerials.
Vernon Johnson (Brewer) had four TD catches while Foster also ran for a score.
The Jaguars rolled up 618 yards in total offense on 85 plays.
