The Hilltop High School boys lacrosse team continues to enjoy a highly successful season. The Lancers improved to 9-4 overall following Monday’s 8-3 non-league victory against the Serra Conquistadors and reached the magic double-digit column with 10 wins after defeating host Montgomery, 10-3, on Thursday.

Thursday victory was the fourth third consecutive for Hilltop, which previously defeated Mar Vista, 6-5, on April 10 and Bonita Vista, 10-4, on April 12.

Team captain Daniel Hodge had three goals in the victory against Bonita Vista.

The Lancers enter  Monday’s scheduled game at Metro Conference leader Otay Ranch with a 5-2 league record. Hilltop’s lone losses in league play have come against current front-runners Otay Ranch (8-0,11-3 overall) and Eastlake (6-2, 9-5 overall).

Ina high stakes battle for first place in the league standings on Thursday, host Otay Ranch outscored Eastlake 18-13 to go up two games in the loss column on both Hilltop and Eastlake with four league games remaining in the season.
