McKelvey excels in a down market

Real estate veteran Patti McKelvey continues to break through the rough economic conditions of the local real estate market and spark a glimmer of hope back into the minds of home buyers and sellers.

Patti McKelvey recently received McMillin Realty’s top producer, top selling and top listing agent awards for the 25th consecutive year at the firm’s annual awards ceremony this week.

McKelvey and her team achieved 200 sales in 2010, representing a sales volume of more than $72 million. In addition, her team listed 139 homes for sale in 2010.

“Patti’s success is attributed to her continual drive to improve her expertise and provide the best in customer service – nearly 24 hours a day,” said Scott McMillin, president of the 40-year-old brokerage.

Perhaps the McKelvey team’s biggest achievement is shown in its dedication to the home-buying process.

“I’ve spoken to people that wouldn’t have dreamed of going into the market now, thinking it hasn’t bottomed out yet,” McKelvey said. “I have opened their eyes to the reality that this is, in fact, a great time to buy.”

McKelvey says she is proud of the fact that, over the years, she has successfully redirected many of her clients to properties that might cost more but would be less affected by market fluctuations. This has resulted in homeowners she represented being less affected by the current market conditions and ready to move-up now.

McKelvey has previously been noted among the top 1 percent of real estate professionals in the United States by the Wall Street Journal. Out of the 34,000 agents in the county last year, her team placed No. 5 in dollar volume countywide and No. 1 in the South County.

The bilingual McKelvey team operates seven days a week, nearly 24 hours a day, to ensure they are maintaining client needs at all times. According to McMillin, this dedication and commitment has created a steady flow of returning clientele, which has made McKelvey stand out among the nation’s top realty agents. The McKelvey team includes Lisette Lopez, Annel Vargas, Lauren Hurtado, Amber Capone, Ashley Heffron and son Jeff McKelvey.

“Our team is focusing on servicing our clients’ needs more than ever,” McKelvey added. “Because of this extra attention, we have been able to stay on top of our game.”

Patti McKelvey’s accolades are not exclusive to only real estate but also to her dedication and time committed to community involvement.
