"We're coming around," EHS coach David Koopman said. "At the Palm Springs tournament, I wished we had gotten more wins (a 1-3 showing) but we bonded more as a team, so I'm happy at this point."
The Titans tip off Mesa League play Wednesday, Jan. 16, with a 6 p.m. home game against defending league champion Mater Dei Catholic. The Crusaders are 7-5 on the season but undefeated against San Diego Section competition.
"We'll have to play perfect to beat them," Koopman said in respect with regard to MDC. "It's kind of ironic that it might be easer to win CIF (Division i) than league.
"Mater Dei Catholic is obviously the team to beat in our league. I think we are making some noise."
