All-Metro Conference 2013 spring sports teams announced

Fri, Jun 21 2013 11:39 AM Posted By: Phillip Brents

The 2013 high school spring sports season has officially ended and teams are now preparing for the upcoming 2013-14 interscholastic season.

It was a memorable spring for the Hilltop, Otay Ranch, Montgomery and San Ysidro baseball teams as well as the Bonita Vista, Mater Dei Catholic and Chula Vista softball teams.

Hilltop and Otay Ranch shared the Mesa League championship banner while Montgomery captured the South Bay League title and San Ysidro swept its way to the San Diego Section Division III championship with a perfect post-season run.

Mater Dei Catholic claimed its fourth consecutive Division IV softball title while Bonita Vista, this year's Mesa League champion, made a return trip to the Division II finals. Chula Vista won this year's South Bay League title to earn a trip to the CIF playoffs to end a two-decade drought.
