A decades-long history of serving those in need

St. Paul’s Senior Services has been serving the senior community for over 55 years in San Diego County. Their St. Paul’s PACE program has cared for over 1,000 low income and frail seniors throughout San Diego County and they are the largest not-for-profit retirement organization in San Diego.

St. Paul’s new community, St. Paul’s Plaza, is an exciting new retirement community located near Heritage Park and Sharp Rees-Stealy medical facility in Otay Ranch. St. Paul’s Plaza is a carefully designed community with input from a community advisory council of Chula Vista and South Bay leaders. The goal was to create a welcoming environment that the council members would be proud to have a family member live in.

This full-service property welcomes newly retired active folks and seniors requiring personal care. Plaza also offers a secure memory care wing. To encourage family visits and promote a “Sunday dinner” type experience at the grandparent’s house, there’s a family kitchen, dining and living area on each floor.

For the young at heart or just young visitors they offer a child friendly senior outdoor exercise playground and a courtyard designed to host large family events and barbecues.

With large screen TVs in the pub for the big game and gorgeous landscaping for quiet walks, you’ll ask yourself “When can I move in?”

To keep their guests sharp and engaged they offer a full activity calendar including yoga, tai chi and art projects; a gym with therapy pool and an on-site spa with massage, beauty salon and barber shop.

The real beauty of St. Paul’s Plaza is its affordability as it was designed for folks in their third stage of living with an average retirement income. Large studios start at $2,700/mo. and include 30 meals, housekeeping, linens and towels along with activities and outings.

Their goal is to make it possible for residents to enjoy an active and social retirement knowing St. Paul’s personal care services are accessible as needed to preserve independence and dignity.

The plaza is currently taking reservations and had seniors moving in on June 1.

We asked one of their future residents why he chose St. Paul’s Plaza and he stated, “I knew if St. Paul’s was building it, it would be amazing and I can already see that it is.” John told us the $4,600 discount package was a lovely surprise and that the item in the package he is most looking forward to is his free massage in the plaza spa.
