Sat, Jun 18 2011 04:37 PMBertha Lopez is purposely hurting our district to gain attention to re-run for her seat. The public only cares about our schools' academic gains. Shame on her.
Michelle Price Says:
Fri, Jun 17 2011 08:41 PMMr. MCCANN is failing the South Bay.
It is becoming more evident with each and ever news article, tv network coverage, and am radio discussion that Mr. MCCANN is part of the problem and will NOT be part of the solution.
He has lied when he said Mrs. Lopez was grandstanding and that she was running for office. Mr. MCCANN lied when he said the investigation into the PR firms was independent.
I guess it is true, that he is part of the current corruption that is a part of the Sweetwater District. Why else would Dr. Gandara and the attorney Bonny Garcia, still be employees of the District.
Mr. MCCANN, should step down. AND PLEASE do not come back and run for office in Chula Vista, I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR YOU AGAIN
David Walden Says:
Fri, Jun 17 2011 01:19 PMThe District - under John's leadership has been nothing short of a complete disaster. Scandal after scandal, wasteful spending, out of control school board meetings with no end in sight. Granted some negative items were in the making before he took the helm. Got It!! BUT AN EFFECTIVE LEADER can get in front of these shortcomings and turn the situation around. He has failed and failed miserably to address the shortcomings brought to his attention by the public AND even worse, instead of addressing / taking corrective action he did the exact opposite. He tried to cover it up or make it as though the public was the ones out of touch.
That was a big mistake. John McCann has single handedly brought about his own demise for any hope of a future political position.

DUMP McCANDARA Says:
Mon, Jun 20 2011 11:57 PMEnough with the fancy footwork, Mr. McCann.
The students and taxpayers of Sweetwater Union High School District are looking to the board for leadership.
Instead McCann makes personal attacks on Bertha Lopez and anyone else who has been critical of Mr. Gandara.
Instead of leadership, McCann offers smokescreens to protect Mr. Gandara and to discredit his critics.
John McCann: Stop protecting Gandara. Join Bertha!
DUMP McCANDARA !
