Most definitely. Mayor Cox has done an incredibly good job to date. Her vision, energy, and dedication to this city is unmatched by any Mayor in the 20 years that I have lived here. She has a hard job at herding all the cats - but she's making things happen. Now if we only had a few more council members with a similar vision, the city would truly be on its way to greatness.

So, a resounding YES to your question if the City of Chula Vista has benefited from Mayor Cheryl Cox's leadership. Cheryl Cox is not only a thinking Mayor. Mayor Cheryl is a thinker and absolutely a doer, herself.

Just found out that this page does not accept quotation marks after I read my initial comment above.

Thank you, Star News!

I am proud of our Mayor Cheryl Cox. I sincerely believe that the City of Chula Vista is blessed with a hard working mayor -- if not the hardest working mayor in the nation.

It is no secret that all cities have been affected by the global economic downturn including Chula Vista. Mayor Cheryl means it when she says that Chula Vista will rebound and will be better than ever. Financial health remains to be her focus and top priority. So, Chula Vista, while celebrating its Centennial year this 2011, is highly positioned for economic development. Just this week, the City under Mayor Cheryl Cox's leadership, achieved restructuring the pension program of the city employees. The contributions of the city employees under this comprehensive pension reform will generate, at least, 6.1 million in annual taxpayers' savings.

It will be great for other cities to emulate what the City of Chula Vista has started. All parties compromised toward the good of the city.

So, a resounding YES to your question if the City of Chula Vista has benefited from Mayor Cheryl Cox's leadership. Cheryl Cox is not only a "thinking" Mayor. Mayor Cheryl is a "thinker" and absolutely a "doer" herself!

Proud Chula Vistan/Bonitan,

Edna Consing Concepcion
