If the CV Council really wanted reforms in General Services. Bring Back Police & Fire Department Reserves, it was affective in the past and can be affective now. Yes, it wouldn't be free, but cost effective in the long run. 2 Cars & 2 officers responding to the same call or back up? Why not 1 car & 2 Officers and send the other car to another call etc..

Fire Dept: 4th Seat on a fire truck.

I'm sure this isn't popular with the Bargining Unions.. Get over it !!

Socialism and monotheism are incompatible.

All of the failed socialist regimes of the the last century tried to stomp out religion.

I feel my religion requires individual responsibility. Again this concept is not compatible with socialism.

I would like to know if my city council truly believes in individual responsibility.

CV city council recently agreed to ban single use plastic bags. What's next? Ban single use food wrappers, drink containers? I believe we need to teach our kids to clean-up after themselves not that plastic bags are evil.

Yes,we should begin with a prayer. Let's ask for God' guidance for our elected officials rather than them being guided by special interest groups.

This would be an inappropriate use of time in council chambers. Should the city council hold a session at a church? Of course not. I would also replace the pledge of allegiance with a simple moment of silence to collect thoughts, etc. The pledge is a relic of the cold war era. Is the pledge supposed to demonstrate your patriotism or confirm that America is a nation under God? No to prayer and the pledge.
