I believe Brand was a moot issue the min.that the county board members took over. I think they were a lot smarter than we gave them credit for. They knew what was going on. The question is will they let Winet continue on a desperate Brand mission?

Letting Brand go - unlike John McCann I am 100% in favor of the County's decision. I agree with Kevin I'Neill, he should have been kept here and given the assignment sharpening pencils. John McCann wanting to use Brand as a consultant - McCann is out of his ever lovin' freakin' mind!!!!!!

Now down to brass tacks, let's investigate all of those consultants, lets do a forensic audit, and PLEASE CAN SOMEONE, ANYONE FINALLY TELL US THE TRUTH ABOUT THE PROERTY DEALS!!!!!!!

Anything that works to remove Ed Brand from a position of authority is a positive. Of course, some people say it would be better if we were no longer paying him. Those people have a point.

But, with Brand no longer occupying the superintendent's office, I believe this district has a better chance of creating a semblance of order. There is a chance we will be getting that independent forensic audit that Mayor Cox mentioned. Maybe we will even find out who all the silent partners are in the real estate schemes--you know, the ones the public is on the hook for, but had no choice in?

We sure would like to stop all that illegal behavior.
