Well, well, well...looks like people called in reinforcements for McCann and Padilla! But you would seriously need to be devoid of reason to want McCann in any office again. Padilla didn't really distinguish himself for that short time when he was mayor.

It is time for some new people, who might actually want to live up to the job. I say good luck to Jason Paguio, as he actually looks energetic and thoughtful enough to put the effort in to do a good job!

No more McCann. Mr. Padilla, you still have some explaining to do.

Get real Joan. And Padilla isn't paid by any lobbyists? That's his JOB right now! Where are the real leaders in this city.

McCann wants everyone to forget about the fact that he's on the School Board because of the ongoing scandal, which is understandable. But the reason that he's lost my vote is that his involvement in the whole thing comes down to two possibilities: that McCann was involved but was the only one who was barely smart enough to not get himself indicted, or he wasn't involved but was truly obtuse enough to not see what was going on all around him.

Either truth is unsettling, if you ask me. Neither makes for a good candidate for public office.

Steve Padilla would do the best job for the City of Chula Vista because he cares for the city! The city has been under the influence of people like McCann who take their direction from companies like SDGE who are not interested in what's best for Chula Vista.

We must have a short memory if we're going to allow Padilla back in. Guessing we forgot about $10k/mo for a body guard? Abusing his ability to take 12 payday advances on a HUGE salary? Taking money from committees he didn't do any work for? Oh yeah......guess we forgot about him getting fired from the port.......we are SO forgetful! And why the heck go back to council and not mayor if he was so good as mayor? Doesn't want to get into another bad fight with Mary Salas? Really disappointed to find our party endorsing him......We have better options!!!!!

Is McCann voting for himself or is 49% of Chula Vistan still got their head In the mud?

Time for some new faces. The past mayor and councilman left the City in such financial bind, not sure we could afford them again.

Steve Padilla is the candidate for me. When he was mayor he has helped dozens of individuals I personally know. I talked to him when he was in mystore and he was very approachable and considerate

Chula Vista really deserves innovative ideas, new leadership and a vision that we all can participate in and enjoy. Jason Paguio is a leader that can move Chula Vista forward. John and Steve thank you for your service. However, its time for new leadership.
