Twenty-something exposer to live with parents while on probation

A judge sentenced a Chula Vista man who exposed himself in front of an elementary school to 308 days in jail he has already served with three years probation.

Justine Jeffery Sison, 24, was ordered April 15 to stay away from McMillin Elementary School and the entire block on Santa Cora Avenue in Chula Vista as a probation condition.

Chula Vista Superior Court Judge Ana Espana fined him $524 and imposed standard alcohol and drug conditions for people on probation. Sison will likely continue living with his parents. He was not ordered to register as a sex offender.

Sison pleaded guilty March 11 to committing lewd conduct in public, a misdemeanor, and felony resistance of an officer during his Oct. 9, 2014, arrest.

Deputy District Attorney John Dunlap said Sison will have the opportunity to reduce the felony resistance charge to a misdemeanor after 18 months on successful probation.

Dunlap said afterward he hoped the incident will not ruin his life and he will adhere to probation terms. Espana released him from jail after his guilty pleas March 11 to live with his parents.

Two Chula Vista police officers testified Jan. 20 in the preliminary hearing as did a mother who said she saw him expose himself at 8:45 a.m. No students saw it.

Officers found Sison in a nearby restaurant’s bathroom. The school principal sent out an e-mail notifying parents of the arrest and reminding parents and students of safety rules.
