Mission possible Robert Moreno | Fri, Aug 08 2014 10:30 AM

Teamwork was the theme at Mayor Ron Morrison’s 8th State of the City Address at Cornerstone Church in National City.

Morrison said National City continues to progress and dig its way out of the economic recession because City Hall, business owners and National City are working together as a team and doing what’s best for the city.

Morrison said while the rest of the County was hit hard during the economic recession National City stood firm.

“We were progressing during the time of the recession,” he said. “We were building projects, we were adding more services , we were doing a lot of that and it is only because the people of National City made it happen.”

Morrison said a big project that’s underway in National City is giving residents access to the waterfront and a complete street repair project on Eighth Street.

Morrison delivered his State of the City speech around the movie Mission Impossible dubbing that in National City anything is Mission Possible.
