On Saturday, April 16, the Otay Ranch Town Center will be hosting numerous activities to help promote active lifestyles, healthy families and environmental stewardship.

The combined events include the city of Chula Vista's Go Green & Clean Family Day featuring environmentally-focused information and activities, the South Bay YMCA's Healthy Kids Day which includes a family fun run and kids activities, and Eastlake Educational Foundation's Cycle Eastlake race.

The combined events will also feature an energy-efficient lighting exchange sponsored by SDG&E in which South Bay residents can exchange up to two halogen torchiere lamps and five incandescent bulbs for free energy-saving CFLs.

Residents will also be able to recycle their old unwanted computers and electronics which will be refurbished and presented to community youth without computer resources through the Computers 2 SD Kids organization.
