Day Of Fun At The Bay Franco Te | Fri, Mar 05 2010 01:25 PM

On Feb. 21 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. there will be performances, booths and speakers to highlight the Chula Vista Wildlife Refuge and San Diego Wildlife Refuge. This is not a political event and political campaigning or content of any nature will not be allowed. Rev. Dr. Minoru Fukuda will open the event with a prayer blessing at 11 a.m.

Performers include Abel Silvas, He Nani O Polynesia Dancers, Chula Vista High Schools Ballet Folkorico and many more. Booths from the Chula Vista Nature Center, Surfrider Foundation, Fish and Wildlife National Wildlife Refuge, OEX Kayaks, San Diego Pride and others will also be there. Speakers include Chula Vista Mayor Cheryl Cox and Chula Vista City Council members Steve Castaneda, Pamela Bensoussan, Mitch Thompson and Rudy Ramirez.

There will be no concession stands so guests are encouraged to visit any restaurants located at the marina or bring their own lunch. This event is located at the Chula Vista Bay Front Park next to the J Street boat-launching ramp on Marina Way off of Mariana Parkway.
