With the Xolos 1-0 loss against Club San Luis FC tonight their hopes of winning the Liga MX championship for a second consecutive season disintegrated, along with any hope of reaching the playoffs.

The host team's Alan Zamora sent a blistering shot into the back of the Xolos net and the 1-0 score would be all that was needed to make the Xolos game next week at home meaningless.

The Xolos are still competing in the Copa Libertadores and play against Brazil's Palmerias on Tuesday. On Friday they finish the regular season against Chivas de Guadaljara.
