Help for the retired Tshea Rogers | Sat, Oct 13 2012 12:00 PM

AARP is offering two free workshops to help individuals improve their physical and financial health.
The first, Dancing for Your Health, will be held Friday, Oct. 19, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Chula Vista Women’s Club, 357 G St. in Chula Vista. Whether it’s salsa, cumbia or cha-cha, dance is a great way to get and stay in shape. Attendees are asked to bring a canned food item to benefit a local food pantry.

The second, The Best Future Your Money Can Buy, will be held Nov. 3 from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Chula Vista library, 365 F St. Whether you’re planning to retire or are already retired, this workshop is for you. Spend an afternoon with AARP and learn how to prepare for your financial future. Food will be provided.

Space is limited so early registration is suggested. You may register online at aarp.org/ca or call (877) 926-8300.
