TEMPORARY tax hike???? Ther is no such thing......

Poor leaderships answer to financial issues - CALL FOR A NEW TAX OR BOND.

Communities response - N O spells NO

Interesting story. Let's see how the defendants react to this. And how different defendants affiliated with the district react to a different case next month.

Thank YOU for this story. Far too often the news is filled with the bad actions of a few of the men and women in blue. However, the truth is MORE OFTEN, the majority are unsung heroes who daily serve us all. Many years ago the Chula Vista Police Dept. reached out to 2 young boys whose father had committed a horrible crime - their generosity, their caring is remembered by my family to this day.

How many of us would be willing to put our lives on the line, each and every day, for total strangers? YES, WE OWE OUR POLICE MUCH! Next time you see one, take a moment to say THANK YOU!!!!

Current CV leaderships decisions is worrisome. Little by little all that was good and defined the quaint City of CV is being lost. Some will cry 'this is the future, this is progress' - oh contrar is my reply. Spend a few hours driving thru Chua Vista - what is changing is not for the best! But,,,,,, that is just my opinion.

The millions that were wasted, lost, unaccounted for. Dollars that were promised to our deserving students which should have provided them with state of the art classrooms. Monies we taxpayers willingly gave because we trusted those that held the purse strings. The mess of it all has done one thing, it has opened our eyes to our Districts willingness to simply throw money at a problem and call it solved. Until, unless there is a TOTAL overhaul of all things Facilities/Maintenance there will be no endorsement from me for ANY new BOND. Parents, Taxoayers it is time for all of us to send the message, THE MONIES YOU ARE SPENDING ARE OUR TAX DOLLARS, AND WE WANT ACCOUNTABILITY AND FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY. and,,,,,, drafting a PLA and calling it accountability and fiscal responsibility is simply NOT the answer.

Major problems arise when the public does not have access to the financial side of things. Temptation is just too great, I guess.

So what is the Sweetwater Board trying to hide now? I am very grateful that Mr. Marinovich keeps fighting the good fight. We need so many more to join in this fight for the public's right to know.

The public has a right to know what is going on with all bond monies. Just what is happening with all of our Mello-Roos fees that we have paid? I wish there was a Bond Oversight Committee for that--and yes, we, the public would need to ensure that it--were it to exist--would not be stocked with the flunkies this Sweetwater Board seems to have such an affinity for.

Where are the honest board members? An endangered species, due to their own inability to stay honest?

Leave Paula hall alone. She enables I mean supports our union cause. Paula hall and Nick Segura are an excellent addition to the sweetwater district school board. We need more enabling I mean pro union board members on our board!

I applaud the City Council's decision to remove the item from their agenda. In 2004 the voters rightfully voted to have term limits for the Mayor's office. It should only be the voters that decide whether to discuss this issue again, or not.

Looks like someone from old board gave Hall a copy of their playbook. Good for Marinoviche for having the guts to make this public. Heck no we don't like this we didn't like it when the past board did it why would we like it now.
