Snowfall spectacular

A favorite holiday tradition in Southern California returns to Village Walk at EastLake from Dec. 1 to 24.

Each night at 6 and 7 p.m. a magical snow falls with choreographed music and lighting in the courtyard near the koi pond at Village Walk at EastLake, located at the intersection of EastLake Parkway and Miller Drive in Chula Vista.
The shopping center’s Italian village ambiance with courtyards and bronze sculptures is a beautiful setting for the snowfall, which children can view in rainbow colors with their free “magic” glasses. Between the nightly snowfalls, community caroling groups entertain guests with favorite holiday songs.

A special daytime snow will fall on Dec. 12 at 1, 2 and 3 p.m. during the family celebration at Village Walk at EastLake.

The free celebration from noon to 3 p.m. features photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, coloring books, train rides and a holiday craft activity for children age 12 and younger.

Bring mobile phone or video equipment to post a video of your snowfall experience on the Village Walk at EastLake Facebook page for the opportunity to win prizes. Visit www.shopvillagewalk.com for information about the contest.
Village Walk at Eastlake is the only San Diego County location hosting the daily snowfall show, created by Los Angeles-based MagicSnow Systems’ Adam Williams. The former magician invented the snow formula. The eco-friendly snowflakes are mostly water and, as the snow falls, it vanishes on contact, leaving no residue.
