Alleged kidnapper gets court hearing

A Chula Vista parolee faces a Jan. 24, 2017 preliminary hearing on charges he kidnapped and sexually assaulted a 22-year-old man in a motel.

Antoine Demond Henderson, 44, has pleaded not guilty to six felony charges that allege he kidnapped the victim in Escondido for purposes of forcible oral copulation on Oct. 20.

He is also charged with sexual penetration, false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon, and carrying a concealed firearm which he was not allowed to possess because he is a parolee. Henderson was living in Chula Vista when he was arrested Oct. 20.

The victim knew Henderson, but was allegedly held at gunpoint and driven to a motel in Carlsbad where he was assaulted. Henderson left at some point and the victim called 911 with a description of Henderson. Carlsbad Police arrested him in a vehicle which was pulled over on Interstate 5.

The kidnapping charge carries a life term if he’s convicted and he could face additional time behind on bars on the other charges that were filed in Vista Superior Court.

Court records say Henderson was convicted in Chula Vista of a drug charges in 2001 and 1997, and making a criminal threat in El Cajon in 2006. Henderson remains in the George Bailey Detention Facility on $1 million bail.
