Outdoor film series to be screened at Las Americas Premium Outlets

Media Arts Center San Diego, producer of the San Diego Latino Film Festival, and Las Americas Premium Outlets are combining forces for the outdoor Latino film showcase ¡Que Viva Cine Latino!.

¡Que Viva Cine Latino!, presented by Las Americas Premium Outlets, will showcase some of the most innovative and critically acclaimed Latino movies from the past 12 months in a unique outdoor setting. The event will take place every Wednesday in September (Sept. 6, 13, 20 and 27) beginning at 6:30 p.m. with live entertainment and art exhibits at the Las Americas Premium Outlets between the Old Navy and Coach stores.

“We are thrilled to partner with Media Arts Center San Diego for ¡Que Viva Cine Latino!,” said Andrea Hartley, general manager at Las Americas Premium Outlets. “Las Americas Premium Outlets is an ideal backdrop for an outdoor film series that highlights quality films and local entertainment. We look forward to welcoming guests to this weekly event which celebrates rich and diverse Latino cultures.”

The film selections will feature this year’s hilarious box office hit “How to Be a Latin Lover” (Sept. 6), starring Eugenio Derbez and Salma Hayek; the warm and witty comedy “Un Padre No Tan Padre” (Sept. 13), with a brilliant performance by Héctor Bonilla; the charming romantic comedy “Everybody Loves Somebody” (Sept. 20), featuring Karla Souza; and “Lowriders” (Sept. 27), a celebration of the lowrider culture with Eva Longoria and Demián Bichir.

All screenings are free and open to the public, with seating available on a first-come basis. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets and grab a snack at one of the many food locations throughout the center.

Screenings and activities will take place at Las Americas Premium Outlets, at 4211 Camino de la Plaza, San Diego, CA 92173.
